Cat Show
Robin will meet with the Grand Sierra on the 7th of March to cover questions about the Comps Plus for Charity program, moving equipment into the hall and microphone usage, as well as to drop off the information for the big sign as well as to photograph the guest rooms for our online flyer.
Catalogs will be printed by Total Image Print and Copy for 6 cents a page and 20 cents each for the color covers, or $3.20 for a 50 page book with a full color cover. Geri Herrick donated $25.00 for the cost of the color covers.
We need sponsorships! We need raffle donations! We need vendors!
$50.00 Partial Ring Sponsorships get a half page ad in both the Spectator Guide and the Exhibitor Catalog, Name on ring sign with other Partial Ring Sponsor(s), link on website.
$125.00 Full Ring Sponsorships get a full page ad both the Spectator Guide and the Exhibitor Catalog, Name on ring sign, link on website and Name on Award Bars.
$500.00 Rosette Sponsorships get a full page ad both the Spectator Guide and the Exhibitor Catalog, link on website and Name on at least 1/3 of the rosettes. There are 3 available. We will purchase rosettes to cover only what we don not currently have and add a new center color to our existing rosettes to dress them up. We will purchase new rosettes next year, as Geri noted her concern with the cost of all new ones this year.
Raffle Prize Sponsorships get a link on the website and inclusion in the thank you list in the Spectator Guide and the Exhibitor Catalog.
Vendor Space is $125.00 for a 10'x10' space with a table. They must also donate a raffle prize of at least $30.00 value each day of the show.
Show Raffle Ticket Special - Pay $20.00 at time of entry, and get 150 tickets instead of 100.
Judges lunches - Grand Sierra Port of Subs on Friday and Sunday and Round Table Grand Sierra on Saturday so ourt double up judges dont have the same meal twice.
Royal Canin forms have been submitted. We are lucky to have this as new show locations are disqualified. Maybe because we are still in Reno. And coming up on our 40th anniversary.
Show is to benefit Feline Rescue of Northern Nevada and Palomino Valley Pet Rescue.
Our show budget is looking to be around $25k and our entries should bring $20k. We have about $5k seed money. Royal Canin is sending $1k. Work on sponsors! Robin has contacted several local companies but there are many more. Geri will contact Reno Mazda Kia, Pettin Place and Discount Pets. Tell them we are Nevada's Only cat club. We need to contact Terrible's to see if the can donate some gas cards to give to random entries to help interest in our show.
Robin has spoken with Science Diet for possible vendor or sponsorship. Robin has spoken to a possible child free fingerprinting group for possible vendor.
Last years raffle brought in $1100. Lets get more prizes!
We will be having jewelry charms fro Moises at Precision Diamonds again this year.
We have all but 3 judges contracts in. We need to create the judges questionaire to make the judging experience great for our judges. We would like to have a nod for show of the year.
Our bank balance stands at $4624.48.
Our tables will be from Elegant Party Rentals. Maryanne has quoted us $1473.00 for 140 tables all delivered and set up. We need to pay the deposit... 50%?
We would like to use Lynda Giggy as our entry clerk but Robin expressed the need for a back up, possibly Valerie Horton?
Our show is called the "Five-Star Feline Face-Off". We need a color cover to match the name. Becky from FRONN will submit some designs.
We will try for our show info on the sign at least 2 months before the show.
If we cannot pull this show off we must notify the Grand Sierra 4 months prior to the show date.
We must have a spectator guide this year!
Robin's cat Stewie will try to be measured at our show for the Guiness Book for the longest cat. /robin has to arrange publicity and submit the forms.
Judges thank you gifts - possibly a stamp from Robin's work. Budget $10 per judge. Get quote on stamps or candy.
Nevada Week for the Animals - We planned our HHP show for the same weekend as the Women's Expo. Cannot compete with that event. Trying to move HHP show to the adoption event-April 13th. We would like to use our existing rosettes as prizes for this. We need a donation jar or two for this event and we will have support buttons to sell. "Support Nevada's ONLY Cat Club - The Silver Cats"
We need a pathetic picture for a poster to help generate donations. Help us help cats in need.
March 7-9 Home Show - Palomino Valley has a booth at the convention center. Robin and Susi volunteered to help man the booth.
